Benefits of Avocado pear to the body

Let’s talk about caring for mature skin.
We’re aging, our skin is losing elasticity and a whole bunch of other stuff it used to produce on cue like collagen, protein, etc. and properly caring for it involves more than rubbing on some moisturizer and going on about our business. It’s not rocket science but we do have to add a few more steps in our beauty routine than we did in our 20’s and 30’s.
(Which is the best time to begin but let’s be honest. How many of us actually give a thought to getting wrinkles and bags when we still have soft pretty baby skin? We wait until we’re looking at a stranger in the mirror trying to figure out who she is and how she got inside your face and started rearranging things.)pellenera

Health Benefits
Mention avocado and most people think guacamole. But there is so much more to this amazing super fruit. Avocados are rich in nutrients and contain more than 20 vitamins and minerals including high levels of potassium, folate and fiber. A short list of other goodies includes Vitamins E, C, K,and B6 and Magnesium. Studies have shown adding avocado to your diet can help reduce the risk high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke because of the high potassium levels. If that’s not enough, consider this: They are loaded with the healthy monounsaturated fats omega oils and phytonutrients that help your body absorb antioxidants.
Beauty Benefits
Whether eaten or applied topically avocado oil is an all natural skin moisturizer. If you’re doing both, you’ll see a change that much faster!

Moisturizer
The peel is where all of the oil is contained. A lot of the overpriced moisturizers you buy over the counter and several of those obtained by prescription have avocado oil. For a few cents you can get the same benefits by rubbing the inside of the peel directly on your face. Massage your skin with the peel for about 3 minutes, then let it sit for 10 minutes and rise well with warm water. You’ll feel a difference right away.
Facial Cleansing Mask

Remove the flesh from a ripe avocado and mash it with a fork

For Dry Skin: add 1 teaspoon of honey

For Normal or Oily Skin: add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Stir the mash, mixing it thoroughly. Apply to face and neck, massaging gently. Leave on for about 15-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
Facial Scrub

(This scrub is excellent for dry skin)

1avocado

1 egg white

2 tablespoons oatmeal

1 tsp lemon juice

Mix all ingredients well. Apply to face and hands. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse well with warm water.
